What NOW does, step by step.
We run a grocery app, our own delivery, and a checking process that every product must pass. Here is how each one works.
What NOW is
A grocery app
NOW Store. Choose what you need, pay by UPI or cash, and follow your order until it arrives. In English and Tamil.
Our own delivery
NOW riders collect from our packing site and bring it to you, with a code at the door.
A checking process
Every claim on every pack is checked before it is sold. The next section shows how.
How we check a product
Five steps. The same for a big brand and a small supplier. No step is skipped for a friendly relationship.
We read the whole pack
Every claim is written down, such as "no added sugar" or "made with whole grain". Nothing is left out because it looks obvious.
We ask for proof of each claim
A lab report, a licence number, a certificate, or the label compared line by line with the ingredient list.
A different person reviews it
The person who brought the product in cannot approve it. The reviewer approves, rejects or asks for more, and the decision is recorded with their name and date.
Only approved products go on sale
If a claim fails, the product is not sold, or it is sold without that claim. The customer sees the NOW Checked mark only on approved products.
We check again when anything changes
A new pack, a new supplier or a new claim starts the check over. The date of the latest check stays with the product.
How we choose what to sell
We start from what people buy every week and ask one question: can we show that this product is what it says it is?
We choose products and suppliers that
- give us proof for each claim, not just a promise
- hold the licences their kind of product needs
- keep the same pack, recipe and supplier, or tell us when anything changes
- agree that we may ask again at any time
We do not sell
Products we could not check
- however well they sell elsewhere
- however large the brand
- however low the price
How an order moves
If you cancel before we start packing, your money goes back to the original payment source automatically.
- You chooseBrowse products that have passed our check and add them to your cart.
- You payUPI or cash on delivery. A UPI order that is not paid within 30 minutes is dropped, and a payment that lands late is refunded.
- We packNOW staff pack your order from checked stock.
- A NOW rider brings itYour rider is a NOW delivery partner. You can see the order move in the app.
- You give a code at the doorA four-digit code that only you have, so it reaches the right person.
What the NOW Checked mark means
It means
NOW saw evidence for the claims named on the product, on the date shown.
It does not mean
That the product is a medical or nutrition recommendation, or that it suits every person.
